Elgondolkodtató sci-fi
A Prometheus egy remek sci-fi film, tele izgalmas gondolatokkal, ijesztő képi világgal és jó karakterekkel. Azonban ahhoz, hogy ténylegesen élvezni tudjuk, pár logikai bukfencen és inkonzisztencián át kell tekintenünk. Ha ez sikerül, egy remek filozófiai, emberi mivoltot és lét mibenlétét boncoló, erőszakos és félelmetes jövőképet mutató filmet kapunk, mely egyszerre egy remek folytatása az Aliennek, és önmagában is megállja a helyét. A filmben szereplőink alkotónkat keresik a végtelen űrben, és közben azon vitatkoznak, mi alkotónak lenni egyáltalán. A Michael Fassbender által kiválóan alakított David androidon keresztül ez a kérdéskör egy új, izgalmas dimenziót kap. Bizonyos értelemben a film túlszárnyalja az Alien filmek egyszerű felállását, és egy olyan tematikát emel be a franchise-ba, mely jóval ijesztőbb, mint egy banánfejű xenomorph, aki néha hörög. A Prometheus bizonyos jelenetei ugyanis messze gusztustalanabbak és iszonytatóak, mint amit a legtöbb horrorfilmben kapunk, pláne hogy ezek még egzisztencialista témakört is tapintgatnak. Kiemelendő a film látványvilága és zenéje, melyek egyszerre hozzák a zsigeri borzalmakat és az új élet felfedezésének gyönyörét. Ez mindenképp egy olyan film, ami bennem maradt, még akkor is, ha egy-két helyen bugyuta dolgokat csináltak a karakterek.
